To start the ParaChat LiveHelp Client, choose Live Stats & Chat Client from the ParaChat LiveHelp Client folder in your computer's Start menu. When the Client runs for the first time a wizard will start into which your connection details need to be input. The connection details are included in your set-up email, which is issued upon receipt of your order or evaluation request. The following information is required and can be found in your activation email:
- DNS name of the ParaChat LiveHelp Server
- Authentication String
- Your Email Address & Password
- Your Display Name & Department (optional)
Click Next to continue at each stage.




After the wizard has been successfully completed, the Client will start. At this stage, the Client will not yet display any active visitors or statistics for your web site. This is because the ParaChat LiveHelp Code still needs to be embedded into your web pages (see Adding The Tracking Code).
The Monitored Sites tree shows a list of web sites that agents are monitoring. ParaChat LiveHelp enables multiple sites to be monitored from a single client. If you right-click a site in the Monitored Sites tree, a pop-up Site Properties console will display. The console is used to configure various options for your web site (see Site Properties).
