Select Avatar Image Library Source

Choose Use Default Library to utilize the default Avatar image library included with the software, or choose Use My Library Below to upload custom avatar image files.

Upload Avatar Images To My Library

Select individual files from your computer to upload for use with the chat service.  Click the Browse... button to choose an Avatar image to upload from your computer.  The image file that you selected will appear in the text input field.  Click the "I Agree To Terms Below - Upload Image" button to agree to the Terms Of Use for this feature, and to upload the file to the chat server.  A maximum of 25 Avatar image files may be uploaded.  Each Avatar image file must be no larger than 16 KB in size, and must be a .gif, .jpg or .png file in order to be accepted for use.

My Avatar Image Library

The images that have been successfully uploaded for use with the chat service display in a Library under the Avatar Image column.  By default, a 24x24 pixel thumbnail will display in the Library regardless of the actual size of the Avatar image file.  To delete a file, click the delete link for that file under the Delete Avatar column.  When a user displays avatars next to user names in the chat room's User List, a file called default.png is used to display a default avatar for those users who have not select their own avatar.  Be certain to name an avatar image in your Library default.png so that a default avatar will display.

Generate Avatar Library

The site administrator must click the Generate Avatar Library button to apply the avatar images in the Avatar Image Library to chat rooms under the Site ID.

The Admin Avatar

Designate an image file from the Avatar Image Library for exclusive use by administrators and operators.  Input a file name into the field provided, or leave it blank to use the chat service default administrator avatar image.

Avatar Image Display List

By default, all Avatar image files from the My Avatar Image Library will display in the chat rooms.  To prevent specific Avatar files from the Library from displaying, highlight the file name in the text field, and delete them.  Once the edits have been completed, click the Change Display List button to save the edit.  Be certain not to leave redundant comma delimiters, and to separate files names with a comma only, and no space.

HINT: Clear your web browser's cache of temporary Internet files, close all of your open browser windows, and then load the chat room in a new browser window to view changes that are made to this feature.
